Hi, I got my braces on at 38 and while I was embarrassed most of the time.....I soooo wish I had done it sooner.

I came back to check on you! Your teeth look so pretty. I hope you are really happy now.

I put off getting braces until I was almost 40. Now with them off for months.....the only thing I regret is not doing it sooner!

I would ask your Ortho but my guess would be no. I have Essix and the water cant be really hot when you clean them plus you can only leave them in the cleansing product for a short time. To me that means they are really sensitive.

Good for you! I was the same age and had them on 12 months (12-18mo estimate in the beginning) and I am sooooo so glad I finally went through with it. Being able to smile freely was worth a year of minor hassle and embarrassment. (me personally, I know most arent embarrassed)

I didnt have a choice so you may want to ask your Ortho what will be better for your case. I have Essix and only wear it at night now. I havent had any problems except for plaque buildup but I have recently solved that with a minor tweak to my cleaning routine.
