My orthodontist said if I ever found myself without any type of access to a CVS for wax to use a piece of eraser.

What did you end up eating? I cant wait to get mine off I am dying to eat caramel and anything gooey like a bag of sour patch kids.

I had trouble for the first few months I tried to cover my top brace with my lip, which made my lisp worse. After I got use to having my braces on and I started not caring was when I began talking normal.

Same thing happened to me, I had a piece of bread stuck on the bottom powerchain so I kept poking it, it wasnt until my monthly adjustment that I was told that I had ripped it. I had mine put in eleven months ago, they used a tool like a hammer to help place it in there and if that didnt work I would bite down. I wouldnt say its painful but it was uncomfortable for the first week. Hope that helps :)
