Are there any over 55 men or women out there that are wearing or have had braces? Love to hear your experience!

I gave myself braces for my 60th birthday, and I am afraid of the dentist! If I can do it anyone can! I wore them for 15 months and just got them off three weeks ago. changed my whole face appearance!

I always some sore in my mouth. I used a lot of wax! Watch acidity foods and choose your toothpaste carefully. Nothing with extra additives like whitener. I used crest cavity fighting toothpaste... I got my braces off three weeks ago and still feel like my bite is not quite right. Will this get better?

My ortho told me that I would have to have the removable retainers because they will hold my teeth in place better. I have to wear them 12 hours a day.

I got my braces off three weeks ago and have been wearing my retainers faithfully with no problem. Last night I woke up with pain on the right side of my face. It felt like sinus pain, but it was a pain I have never had before. Hope it's not my retainers because I don't want my teeth to move! I'm 61...
