Re: Surprising delayed post- extraction/wiring pain

Thank you Mylovedtheeth, but I don't have a dry socket, which is unbearable. I have an abscess. Surgeon prescribed antibiotics and Codeine for the residual pain in the Novocaine injection sites. Hope your dry socket gets better very soon!

Surprising delayed post- extraction/wiring pain

Hello everyone, Hope you are all well. Am having jaw pain and an itchy sensation in gum line near the extraction site (lower incisor). Also a few front teeth knocking together, which really hurts. This started three days after - the first two days seemed too breezy! Returned to the surgeon, who slig...

Re: Nervous about two spacers tomorrow - still not wired

Hello everyone, Hope you are all well and smiling. Sorry to have been out of touch. Lost a student last week to lung cancer. She was a very young 65, and had quit smoking 35 years ago. Her decline was rapid, and to see her so tiny in the hospice bed was overwhelming. Feel I have nothing to complain ...

Re: Nervous about two spacers tomorrow/still not wired - upd

Hello everyone, Thank you Mary, Klobird, Beauty Monster, Mrs Charisma for your kind replies! To Sportsman 31 and anyone getting spacers soon, hope your experience is as easy as mine. I was, no kidding, in and out of the office in less than ten minutes! Of course, this was for only two spacers. Hope ...

Nervous about two spacers tomorrow - still not wired

Hello everybody, Hope you are all well and smiling. I'm still waiting to get wired. Lost my first bracket because it apparently needs to have a metal anchor. Am getting two spacers around that lower rear molar tomorrow to make room. It's strange having un-wired brackets, like being in limbo. Hoping ...

Two days after brackets - no arch wire yet

Hello all, Hope everyone is doing well. Still have lower brackets only, and having front bottom tooth extracted on 1/23, then getting arch wire a few hours later. Wish the oral surgeon and ortho were one person! Anyway, a good opportunity to get used to brackets. I have not used the wax yet, nor Rin...

Re: Night before braces

Hi everyone, Thank you all very much for your kind works and support! It is wonderful to be part of this group. Well, there was a misunderstanding and I got my lower brackets put on instead. No arch wire until front tooth is extracted, probably next week. Surprisingly, my cheeks feel fine and I thou...

Night before braces

Hello everyone,
I am a new member and am getting my top braces tomorrow morning. This site is wonderful and I look forward to sharing our braces journeys. My husband is accompanying me to the ortho. Have laid in dental and food supplies, and thank all of you very much for your suggestions and wisdom!
