Re: My new underbite :(

I wasn't looking at your chin, or your teeth.. You have beautiful hair! That is very sweet - thank you. I can't really take any credit for it - it's courtesy of mom and dad :) All I do is grow it! I have been grateful for my very red (very big!) hair here lately because I feel like it detracts a li...

Re: My new underbite :(

I'm in a similar situation. I had an edge to edge bite and I'm currently in braces so that an underbite can be made in preparation for surgery. I've had braces for almost six months now and things are moving pretty slow. Your profile doesn't look that far off, so how much are they planning on movin...

Re: My new underbite :(

Sorry, I'm not up with all the technical terminology  I use the word "normal" loosely. Sorry to hear it was painful to have a bite like that though :( I'm lucky with my bite, can't imagine how awful it would be for it to hurt all the time. Braces pain is bad enough. Glad it's all ge...

Re: My new underbite :(

Thanks! My bite was never 'normal' - edge to edge isn't normal and it's actually painful - but you're right, it's very strange to all of a sudden have a new bite.

My new underbite :(

underbite smile.jpg Hi all - I've had an edge-to-edge bite my whole life, and now the orthodontist is giving me an underbite to prepare for surgery. It's very uncomfortable (I keep biting my tongue and the inside of my cheek) and of course I'm super self-conscious about it. Here are my pics. I had ...

Re: How long off work?

This is very helpful! I need to talk to my doctor. I was planning on taking 2 weeks off, but maybe I need more. Thanks!

Re: Intro - And questions about BSSO and SARPE Timeline

I had my SARPE surgery back in May and my gap STILL isn't closed. Trying to be patient, but it's getting old. I am ready for the second surgery!

Re: Tips for wearing expander

HI - Don't be nervous! I had the SARPE surgery and it was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. In fact, I did so well that I made a video 1 day after the surgery: http://www.happygoplucky. com/my-blog/2012/07/the-first-jaw-surgery-sarpe-.html (take away the space between hapygoplucky. and...
