I've read on a few websites you're supposed to use any traditional persulfate cleanser (Retainer Brite, SonicBrite, Efferdent, etc.) or non-persulfate cleanser (DentaSoak).

I was wondering about this too. I just got my braces on and I have a cleaning in about 6 weeks. I hope my hygienist will be able to clean around everything.

I was told every 6 weeks but I have my first adjustment in 5 weeks.

Did you ever get an explanation from your ortho?

Welcome! My situation is very similar to yours, I'm 29 and just got braces put on again a few days ago. I'm still in pain too, but just remember it will pass soon enough!

Thanks! They feel HUGE on my teeth which is annoying right now, but I know I'll get used to it.

Hello, I just got braces put on 3 days ago. I'm 29. This is my second time with them...I had them before as a teenager from the beginning of 6th grade to the beginning of 9th grade. However, I wasn't totally happy with the results and never wore my retainer :shock: So now I'm doing it all over again...
