Pulpitis due to braces
Hello to everyone. I have been on braces for a year and a half now, and recently I had a tooth suffering pulpitis because of braces. I had to undergo to root canal treatement and I would like to know if this has ever happened to someone else. So the (short) story is: I had really crooked incisors so...

Re: Braces and husband
Thank you all. I followed your advice and I questioned him directly about my braces. He dislikes them because they are so metallic-shining that they remind him of doctors and surgery: which are two things that makes him feeling really unconfortable. Moreover he says my braces seem soiled and dirty b...

Braces and husband
Hi all, It is a while I have not been writing anything about me. Things are quite ordinary: braces are painful, movements are slow but everything is on its way. However, there is a thing which bothers me: recently, I realized that my braces put my husband off. He was entirely supportive when I decid...

Re: Occlusion trauma?
The pain to my tooth recovered, But due to the loss of ligatures the canine has moved back to a wrong position.
I have lost a month of treatements.
Now I am wondering if the pain will start again as soon as the ligature are back in place.

Occlusion trauma?
Hi all. I have braces on my upper arch in order to pull backward a canine. Two weeks ago, that canine started hurting really really bad. It was not the usual ache, but it was more similar to pulpit pain. Unfortunatly, the ortho had a three days off so i had to wait 4 days before starting doing somet...

There's a gaaaaaaap!!!!
I am so pleased and relieved. I was worried that my teeth could be immovable, silly me.

Re: Not seeing any change
This morning i went to the ortho and I asked why I am not seeing any change. He said that his work so far was not meant to translate the canine but just to rotate it in the right position. Then he put in place a power chain: *now* that tooth is meant to move. I have had pain all the day. This new el...

Re: Not seeing any change
I cannot wait ... I need to see something. I am looking forward to see a little gap between the canine and the second incisor. :P I was wondering: will the ortho move my teeth one at time? First the canine back, then the second incisor back and finally the incisor? Is this the procedure? I think it ...

Re: Not seeing any change
I checked with the ortho: he says everything is fine. The gap will be closed by Christmas.
I am looking forward to see it.

Not seeing any change
Hi all, i had a tooth extracted a month ago and the adjacent canine was bracketed to move to take its place, but so far i cannot see any change at all. I even use flossing to check if there is more space between teeth, but no sign of it. Is it normal? Should I have already seen some change or not? I...

Re: Newbie too
Sure it will!
In my case, it lasts for 4 or 5 days after every appointment. I take some pain killer and I am fine. But I do not chew anything, not to make the pain worse.
You wil be better soon.

Re: Tomorrow is The Day
Hi all. Yesterday i had the first appointment since the tooth extraction. Everything was fine, so they bracketed also the last molar that side, and said that things now are going to be more effective. Now, my teeth are going to play "tug of rope" : two molars and a bicuspide must pull the ...
