Re: Traveling and newly in braces- someone help me!
Everyone has given some very good advise for what to have as carry-on. As far as eating, I would advise staying away from salads while traveling. I am at almost 3 years wearing braces and still find it hard to eat salad because the lettuce gets stuck EVERYWHERE. I have carried mini toothbrushes sinc...

Re: 4 Week Post-Op BSSO-Questions
Congratulations on your 12 week anniversary :jump: Only being at 4 weeks post op, I know that is a huge accomplishment for you!!! I was quite surprised when my OS told me that I could take my bands off. He told me that the bands were really just needed to act as a "sling" for my jaw...that...

Re: 4 Week Post-Op BSSO-Questions
Thank you bmueller :) I am so glad that I didn't need to take the narcotic pain killers too. While I was in the hospital the nurses kept telling me that the morphine pump was there for me to use, not look at lol...I told them that I wasn't going to use it just because it was there, only if needed......

Re: Opening jaw normally after orthognathic surgery?
Tomorrow I will be 4 weeks post op for having my lower jaw moved forward. My OS told me at my 2 week post op appt that I didn't need to wear my elastics if I didn't want to...that they were really only like a sling for the jaw but I could go without if I chose to. I came home and took the elastics o...

4 Week Post-Op BSSO-Questions
Hello All, On Tuesday I will be 4 weeks post-op for my BSSO surgery. Surgery went well and I came home the day after surgery. I continued to swell through the 3rd day post-op...which I expected because the dr said the swelling would get worse before it started getting better. I basically had no pain...
