Kiwi fruit is super easy to eat too! ahhh love lol - just cutting the skin off is a pain Where I live we cut and kiwifruit in half and scoop it out with a spoon! My mum eats them like that too! Re: not sure this is a good thing...

I've been adding avocado to a lot lately. It's makes me feel so much better when I eat soft things and they go down so easily and i don't feel like half of it has gotten caught in my braces

I was in my upper starter wire for about 2 months and had it changed about a week and a half ago, I was told I skipped a wire as well (yay? lol).
For my lower I'm still in my starter thin wire which i'll probably be in for awhile

Re: Jaw clenching at night??

I did it before braces but it has gotten considerably worse since having them on. It's not every night, I seem to go through stages. My ortho thought it might be my mouth adjusting to my changed bite. I did it before aswell. It got really bad for awhile but haven't noticed it as much lately, though...

Re: How many did you do?

I had 7 for a week, had them taken out for about 2 weeks and had them again for another week.

The pain was terrible. I was quite miserable :(

Re: Every how often do you tighten your braces?

Mine so far seems to be every 6 weeks. Though my first appointment wasn't an adjustment, it was more of a check up to see how my teeth were and I guess to figure out the next move for the next appointment

Re: Archwire and Molarband query

haha i'm glad it did!. I thought it was strange that it had been done like that but if you're the same it must be normal lol but I already have the brackets attached. hmm the rubber tubing may stop it from bending so much that it could come out? I don't have anything on the left side which has a gap...

Re: Archwire and Molarband query

You should be fine! Mine only come out because the arch wire ends at the teeth with the molar bands on (far back molars aren't 'engaged' yet, i think that's how my ortho referred to it haha) and I've got gaps at the front of them so when I chew on the sides it pushes down on the wire, pulling it out...

Re: Archwire and Molarband query

They just slip through a little hole on the side of the band. Mine has come out a few times on both sides :( it takes awhile to maneuver it back in- I usually end up using tweezers

If it ever comes out you can kind of tell where its supposed to go
