Finally Offskies! Before and after pics
They came off today. I am so glad. Now to figure this Hawley retainer. I don't think it is fitting correctly, so I will have to call in the morning.
Thanks for every ones support and advice, I don't think that I would have made it without this forum.

Re: Finally Got Them!
Well they are finally offskies. After a few false alarms, they look a bit like false teeth now, cos they are soo perfect. let me know your verdict. Now to deal with the retainers. I have top and bottom permanent and a Hawley that I don't think fits correctly and I am supposed to have the invisalign ...

Re: sentencing question
My debrace date was the beginning of last month. My diastema started to reopen and my bite was still off. I go back on Thursday. I am really upset that they are still on and still uncomfortable.

Re: Finally Got Them!
I was supposed to be debanded Wednesday, but I had to cancel and reschedule my appointment for the 18th august. I have just got out of the hospital and needed to have further tests that could only be done at the same time as my ortho appointment. This is so frustrating. No bare teeth pics for a while.

Re: New elastic configuration relapsing bite
Until the day before yesterday I was wearing the other class 2 configuration. The one from the bottom molar to the top canine. This triangle one isnt much different. I did notice that my molars were beginning to meet this morning. The orthodontist assistant called back with the orthodontist blessing...

Re: New elastic configuration relapsing bite
Yes, I am wearing the class 2 triangles to close my molar and premolar areas on both sides. I will tell you though that I am getting debanded July 2nd and my Ortho reassured me that my bite will settle a lot after braces are removed. I've read that numerous times in studies posted online as well. W...

Re: New elastic configuration relapsing bite
Where are you wearing the triangles now? I was prescribed premiers 2 triangle configuration from upper canine down to lower canine all the way back to last molar on both sides.. I would probably start doing that... Just my opinion of course! I attached a pic of my configuration. Does the class 2 tr...

Re: New elastic configuration relapsing bite
Thank you biker chick. I called the emergency line after I posted this. The tech said she will talk to ortho tomorrow and in the meantime to use the class two at night and the triangles during the day. She will call me back tomorrow to verify what he wants me to do. I know its not an emergency but f...

New elastic configuration relapsing bite
When I went to the orthodontist yesterday they changed my elastic configuration from class 2 elastics to triangles that I am to wear 24/7. After wearing them for 24 hours my overbite is back where it started. I called the orthodontist office today to let them know and ask if I need to add the class ...

Re: Finally Got Them!
Slightly disappointed as I thought that I would be getting debanded this month. Well they took an impression of my lower arch for the lower retainer. They were really happy how the class 2 elastics have done their job, so they have changed the elastic configuration to a triangle each side to keep ev...

Re: When will I be able to eat normally?
I know it sucks. I have been there. Maybe you could dose yourself up and have a good cut of steak you know the ones that melt in your mouth like a tender loin with mashed potatoes and sauteed onions and mushrooms. And sherbet or ice cream for desert.

Re: When will I be able to eat normally?
It will get better. In the beginning and after adjustments I would cut everything up very small and swallow it whole or mash it using the roof of my mouth and tongue. I would often give up on meals after eating a few bites or completely skip meals as it was just too much hassle due to the discomfort...
