Re: worried about ruining my face :(
I had four teeth extracted and it went fine! My face seems to be more wellbalanced and teeth/mouth less protrusive.

Re: moving with braces

moving with braces
Anyone with experience of moving away before the end of treatment. I am nearing the end of treatment but due to job prospects, I will have to leave before the ortho can remove the braces. Cost of leaving towards my current dentist? And cost of transitioning to new ortbo? How easy was it for you to f...

Re: Interviewing in Braces
I went thru a couple professional interviews....one just recently and havent gotten a response yet (but I have already made up my mind with my options, so the results wont matter to me even if I think it went well). I woukdnt say I am 100% confident in these interviews with braces because 1.) I alre...

Re: anyone had experience with sandpapered teeth?
Thekt,
He didnt say, but I believe he's going to remove the bottom wire, sand them, and then replace the wire and tightenmy teeth to push them in.
I have ceramic top and metal bottom, and he constructed those upper loops you see, with an activator that helped close my extraction gaps.

Re: anyone had experience with sandpapered teeth?
Thanks for the responses! That's a bit comforting- I was afraid that if I were to whiten my teeth after debracing, the ipr procedure might increase my sensitivity to the peroxide. I dont think my bottom teeth are too flared out, but I guess hes an ortho and i did pay quite a lot of money to have per...

anyone had experience with sandpapered teeth?
my ortho says that my lower teeth are flared out, so to bring it back, hes going to sandpaper my teeth just a bit. Has anyone undergone this procedure and is there some sensitivity or permanent consequence involved? Personally, I don't think the flare is that significant or noticeable to warrant it,...

time to fix overbite/jet w/ or w/o extractions?
26 y.o female, got braces 10 months ago to fix what i think is a hybrid overjet/overbite (i don't know exactly what it is as he didn't state the specific terminology in my treatment docs). he said i might be potentially getting them off this winter or spring...which would put me well under the initi...

Re: Scared that my teeth will get yellow .. stained
I have stains on my teeth for not being very diligent about brushing after eating. What are some of the methods in removing these stains afterwards? Do orthodontist use anything special to buff them away after removing the braces?

Re: 27-year-old Metal Mouth
it's reallyy encouraging to see people around my age going through the same experience as i am! (26 y.o) I'm 8 months into my treatment, and altho the present seems to be agonizing, the next 17 months will go just as fast as the last 8 months!

that is amazing to see all that changes without extractions! (makes me wonder whether my overjet couldn've been fixed without it as well).can't wait to see ur final results!

Re: Waterpik
i don't know how you can possibly keep your mouth gunk-free without a waterpik. brushing and flossing, although equally important, doesn't measure up to what the waterpik removes..
