You should get a waterpik if you don't already have one. That would really help you get the food out from under the thing. What is a waterpik? My toothbrush gets food out just fine. I just fill my mouth with water when I feel something is caught on my expander while I'm eating and everything is okay.

Thanks for answering my questions. I started to eat a lot more today and I can pretty much drink liquids easily except for when I'm done with it, there is a little bit stuck at the top of my expander and it feels awful.

I just hope my speech gets better and I can eat better before I move in.

I only had a problem with the wire edges poking me because he didn't cut them properly. However, the wire for my problem tooth always requires wax on it.

I hope that in 100 years, the technology exists to align everyone's teeth to perfection in under an hour with almost no pain.

How do you enjoy braces, please explain this to me? I don't understand how having an inhibition to eating can be anything but an annoyance.
