Ever wish you did it when you were Younger?

I'm 48, and have always needed braces. When I was in my teens, I was given the choice if I wanted braces or not. Oh course, being a stupid spoiled kid, I said no! I always wished I had done it then. Which is probably why I finally got them. Oh well, better late then never!!

I hope things keep getting better for you. When I had mine out, I used to alternate between Tylenol and Ibuprophen. That seemed to really help. I have also had leg surgery 5 weeks ago, and have found that alternating meds really helps. It was even suggested by my surgeon. As for the spacers, I found...

I take it you mean the pointy pokey things on the various brackets? I got used to mine after about a week or two. I'm not sure if it's called a callus or just learning how to move your lips over them more easily. I used wax a little for the archwires poking in the back, but I finally got used to tha...

I just had 7 spacers put in yesterday, and I need to keep them in for at least 2/3 weeks until my braces are ready to be put in. I just wanted to ask how long does it usually take to get used to the spacers, cos i'll be having them in for quite a while. Hi, and welcome! I had spacers for about 2-1/...
