I had a pretty considerable overbite. One extraction did the job.

I think it took me a good week to chew. It's heartbreaking when you can't even stand scrambled eggs.

The day my Nance was cut out was the single greatest day of my life.

Most of mine have been 3-4. I remember one that was 5 and it killed me lol.

I have ceramic on top tied with Teflon wire so staining is not an issue. I'd go metal in a do over. The ceramic are chunkier and the ones I've had repositioned have been substantially harder to remove.

My ceramics have always been tied with white Teflon wire. Never discolors at all.

I had a Nance. I hated that thing with my whole heart. I think I had it for maybe 6 months. Not longer than that. I only had one extraction. The day they cut it out you feel like a new person. It does take a little while to get your speech back to normal.

I have clear on top, metal on bottom. My only regret on clear came when I had some of both repositioned. The metal ones snap right off with ease. The clear...lets just say I'm now a little nervous for debrace day. It took an exponential amount of force for the clear to be removed vs the metal.

The only reason I ever felt like my nance was digging was because I had a closing loop that was hard at work. The Nance itself isn't painful. The worst is keeping it clean. No worries. Just power through.

I just got rid of my Nance yesterday after 7 months. Honestly, the thing sucked. Take solace that it does come out when not needed any longer. Speech is affected at first and your mouth is super dry. Get yourself some breath spray. Your speech will come around, but when my mouth would get really dry...
