Hi, I'm from England I had braces at 30 on the NHS and have to go the children hospital to be treated and they don't have an adult department. I'm doing really well. I had my braces off on the 9 th may. My teeth look really good, I'm so pleased with them.
I don't need anymore surgery thank goodness.
Am having a little trouble with breaking my retainers
I'm on my third set. Lol.

I had my treatment on the NHS, call PALS they will chase it up on your behalf. Just ring the hospital ask for PALS. They will get u answers.

I had a overbite. And drooled all the time all I had to do was turn my head to the side and it happened. Also it happened when I was sleep. But about one week after my surgery it all stop.
It' no longer happens, so hopefully your all be the same.

I've been very lucky. I paid nothing, it's all been covered on the NHS.

Things are going ok, my braces come off on the 9th may. Fingers crossed.
Eating is still hard, I have trouble chewing food with my back teeth.
But I'm learning each day how to cope with my new bite.

Ask at your joint clinc how long the waiting list is. That way you have an idea of time.

I'm with the NHS, when my ortho said I was ready for surgery I had to wait a month as the joint clinc was once a month. After joint clinc I waited 3 months for the surgery. It all depend on where u live and how busy your hospital is.

Ty all, I'm so happy via he told me it would be 6. Months on my last adjustment it will be only 4 months.

After 3 and a half years of braces, 3 operations and one power chain today. I was told at my adjustment that in 8 weeks time my braces are coming off. I Am so happy with the results. I'm all fixed and healed. My stitches held. I'm still have no feeling in my upper teeth gums and my teeth feel to big to be there. I've just got ride that out.
