Re: Wisdom Teeth Consultation
Are they impacted or have they erupted? Reason I ask is if they have to start digging around for them; you'll probably want the pain meds. If they've erupted, speaking from experience, I only needed a little ibuprofen. Impacted you may need something better than regular pain relievers; even if its ...

Re: Wisdom Teeth Consultation
I'd ask if you could get an advance prescription for at least some of your pain meds if they plan on prescribing some; nothing is less fun than getting stuck in line at the Pharmacy while the anesthetic and/or pain meds they've given you wear off. Been there, done that, got the proverbial t-shirt. ...

Wisdom Teeth Consultation
Hey everyone, I've got a consultation with my surgeon and head orthodontist at my next appointment on the 12th August. Is there any questions that you asked during your appointments that you found provided good answers? Or, more simply, what questions/ answers do you think I need to know? Obviously ...

Re: Unsure about surgery
Hey, I'm 18 and start Uni tomorrow after only having my braces for around 3 months. This means that the majority of my uni life will be spent in braces. I don't think you've got to worry about being the only one since, at the end of the day, you've got to weigh up the positives of going through this...

[quote="kpw818"]I'm so sorry I didn't realize I posted this question already! Agh! Sorry Archwired... Thanks for the comments. AntWalkerCook, I think I've seen Corrine's blog. I might ask her some specific questions. My appointments for spacers and all of that don't start until October. I'...

Re: What is double jaw surgery like one week post-op?
Like all the others have said, 7 days won't really be enough. I've read copious numbers of blogs and have found that two weeks minimum is the best recovery time I've been planning this sort of thing as well

Re: Expanding Upper Palate without SARPE as adult?
I've had my Quad Helix in now for roughly four months now and have seen an increase in my upper area of 5.5mm. Although this doesn't sound a lot, my ortho now says she isn't going to expand it any more and that she is happy with the expansion. In this sense I'd say they're successful :) However I'm ...

Globlets?
Hi all, I've looked through some of the other posts on here but wasn't able to find anything like this. If there already is a post on this, let me know please :) Basically, during my consultation a few months ago now, my orthodontist was talking about 'globlet (?) replacement' which would be needed ...
