Re: 6 MONTH SMILE BRACES
kribbo, i'm doing a 6 month-ish course using cfast braces. i'm 6 weeks in so far, and have noticed some definite movement, which i'm very happy about. i'm a long way from straight front teeth yet, but i'm still very positive about things so far. my only real concern atm is how loose the second front...

Re: What was your first meal/food after braces?
i had a home made griddled bacon double cheese burger, sin free fries, and salad. (like a whopper meal without the bun, one of my favorites)
not a great idea for a first meal... it took me nearly an hour to eat it, and my jaw was aching by the time i'd finished....

Re: Poll: At What Age Did You Get Your Braces?
i had a brace when i was about 13-ish? (it was a fairly long time ago and i don't exactly remember...) for about a year, younger brother broke brace (accidentally.....) when taken out to eat. i don't remember the how's and why's but i wasn't taken back to the dentist for a new brace. by the time i t...

Re: Ceramic braces and curry - how bad does it get?
i've had my cfast clear ligatures in for just over a months now, and i love curry.... tbh my ligatures aren't that noticeable as my upper lip covers most of my brace... it's only when i smile :-) but i've found it's only the elastics that have stained, and they do go a bit yellowy, even after just o...

Re: 6 month smiles - ouch!
[quote="belle37"]I am just about to start with cfast braces (similar to 6 month) and the dentist explained that he would make a bit of room by filing between some teeth - it sounds awful - not looking forward to it at all - although I'd prefer that than having one removed! He did say he wi...

Re: Hi Everyone
hi all, been a while again. just past the 4 week mark and been back to my dentist. tbh up till now i've had very little discomfort, a little cutting up of the gums until they toughened up. and teeth a little sensitive at times, no need for any pain relief or wax. and i can definitely see a small amo...

Re: Hi Everyone
Thanks for the welcome TMJjill, i've just had my brace fitted yesterday, not the inman aligner i was looking at, but a tooth coloured fixed system at my local dentists called 'cfast' which is a UK version of '6 months smiles' i think. a couple of teeth are a little sensitive atm, but it's not as bad...
