Work Lunch Ideas
I got my braces fitted in December and have just started work in 2014. I am struggling to find quick/easy lunch ideas that do not take alot of time to prepare/cut up and eat. I have a very busy lifestyle and am even thinking of drinking a meal replacement at lunch time. Also keeping in mind the clea...

You are not alone.
I have had my braces for a month and have lost 2kgs just from not eating mindlessly.
It does suck, but I am hoping this engrains a good eating pattern for when the braces come off.

Re: HELP !?
Shall I cut the wire at the last bracket, or just try to deal with it hanging there for a week?

I will try call them tomorrow just to see if they can assist. I hope waiting til the 6th doesn't cause relapse in any small progress.

HELP !?
Hi there, I have just had my wire come loose from a bracket. I was eating apple cut into small pieces and have been chewing as carefully as I can since getting them fitted 10 days ago. The wire was never touching the back bracket to start off with, it ended on the second last tooth, where it has com...

Re: What was your first meal/food after braces?
My first meal was a drinking yoghurt for lunch and tomato soup with soaked bread for dinner!
The next day was my annual family party and all I could eat was mushy pumpkin pie.
Pizza was my last meal befor getting braced and On debrace day I intend eating pizza again!

Re: Poll: At What Age Did You Get Your Braces?
My first round in braces started almost a week ago at age 28!
I'm being a good student and doing exactly what the ortho tells me so I don't have to wear them much longer than expected.

Re: Hello, I'm new.
Hi, welcome! I'm also new around here. I had my braces fitted on Friday at the age of 28. It's quite painful and getting used to having a mouthful of metal, socially it hasn't been great so far. However, I'm trying to keep the end result and "don't care what others think, this is for me" a...

Re: Adjustments and Wire strengths
Thank you guys! I mainly have crowding that needs to be corrected but am expecting my bite to be corrected as well once everything is aligned. It helps to know the procedure a bit better from those who are experienced! My ortho recited all the in's and out's rather quickly and it literally is a mout...

Re: eek braces on tuesday!
Good luck!
The whole procedure really goes by quickly and is not painful at all. the pain starts to hit a couple of hours later and I think hits full swing by day two and three. I am day three now and hoping it doesn't get worse than this.
All the best, just keep the end result in mind.

Adjustments and Wire strengths
Hi there! I'm new here and got braced yesterday. I'm sore today but coping okay so far. I'd like to understand more about adjustments and wire strengths. Typically how many adjustments do you have throughout your treatment and which are the more important? And what would be the wire strengths that g...

Newbie!
Hi there, I'm new here! I got strapped up yesterday morning. The rest of the day was ok, not much pain or irritation, but this morning I feel like a bus has hit me! My teeth are really sensitive and sore. My ortho recommended chewing sugar free gum to help the sensitivity and to increase the blood f...
