I have always only shown upper when I smile but with the braces on a little bit of my lower teeth show. I don't know if it will stay that way by the time my treatment is over. I like seeing how people's smiles change like that.

I'm not in elastics yet but according to my research I don't think you have to wear the elastics when you eat. I'd probably be startled to. Plus I'd imagine that hurts. I'm sure a more experienced person can confirm.

I definitely just stuck to soups and giant smoothies. It all depends on how painful it is for you.
