Curious if anyone has successfully negotiated the cost of the initial quote by the Ortho they used? I finally found a place I would consider going with, but the quote was $7999, plus $1400 for an Acceledent, plus whatever 4 extractions will cost me. So almost 10k total! It seemed a little car salesm...

Curious how much they charged you for the Acceledent? They want $1400 for it at the ortho I just went to.

The weird thing is I can't find any great testimonials online that look real, and show results. And most of the videos that the company has online are obvious commercials meant to look like real news reports. If they do actually work, it seems to me the ortho's would want to help pay for them since ...

Almost sounds too good to be true. Just saw a used one on ebay for $700. Not bad if you can get some $ back at the end.

I saw one other ortho, who also said 4 extractions, but they just said full metal for 2.5 yrs.

This plan sounds a lot better not having to ever have braces on my front teeth.

I just went to my initial consult today and one of the options was a device called an Acceledent, that you use for 20min a day, and they claim it reduces treatment time 40-50%. I guess it's fairly new.

But it's a $1400 option, so a little spend.
