I'm free
Feel like I have someone else's teeth in when I'm talking but am starting to get used to it. Also wife laughs at me as I don't realise I am dribbling cause my bottom lip is so numb.
Still happy though

Re: Well I had it done. Now on day three.
Back to ortho tomorrow he wants me to keep wire in for another week but it is doing my head in now. He said would get better result if kept it in but could have the wire off and do more work with elastics if I wanted to. Jaw seems to be getting really sore and reckon when they take it off will hurt ...

Feeling pretty good now. Probably cause managed to get some nice hot chicken soup into me and stocking back up on energy. Still bit light headed but headed in right direction for sure.

Did you use a cool pack to bring down the swelling. So far keep looking in mirror as looks bit strange but will be worth it I know. How odd you get on with your surgery Alicia

It's now day three. Had top and bottom jaw worked on and am now wired shut as my jaw wasn't holding in the right place. This will be my first full day with the wire in and it's not the best. Am having real trouble talking and breathing seems weird am just a little bit concerned when nose blocked up....

??????numb face and shaving ??????
Surgery happening in April. Top and bottom jaw. Surgeon said about numbness on face. Have any lads had a problem with numbness and shaving. Concerned if can't feel properly may not be able to shave right.

Re: Fingers crossed for April
Ortho reckons will be up to a year before braces off but am hoping that's the worst case scenario figure they have to give out.

Re: Fingers crossed for April
Am really looking forward to getting op now. Need to remember like you say that they want everything to be perfect before they do op or won't work properly. Looking at April for surgery now.

Fingers crossed for April
New to this so just to say hello. Have been in braces nearly three years now. Looking at double jaw and at minute am still too far away for surgery. Last visit was still at like 11 mm and says is still too much. Been pushed back twice now as not there yet but feels like a lifetime.
