Re: chichi is braced!
You are moving right along! And know so many details about whats going on with your braces. lol Now I think I need a wire change! lol I'm very glad I've been getting wire changes at every appointment. I think I would be very disappointed if I went for an adjustment and nothing interesting happened....

Re: chichi is braced!
Eating is hard, but this has been nowhere near as painful as the last adjustment. I think getting the rectangular wire on the bottom last time was what was killing me. That was the absolute worst jaw pain. This time, my lowers already know what it's like to have the rectangular wire and my uppers hu...

Re: Adjustments and Wire strengths
Sirwired explained it well. If you have self-ligating brackets (the ones that don't use ligatures to hold the wires in place), your adjustments will usually be around 8 weeks apart. If you have traditional brackets, your adjustments will tend to be more like 4-6 weeks apart. I have Damons and my adj...

Re: chichi is braced!
You have made AMAZING progress, Chichie!! Your crossbite is almost gone, isn't it? How did your ortho do this? Did you wear crossbite elastics? Thanks, Anna! My crossbite is pretty much fixed I believe. My bite is still off, but I imagine we'll get to that. I did not have elastics to fix the crossb...

Re: chichi is braced!
That's some awesome looking progress... Congrats on adjustment #3! I will be going for full adjustment #2 in less than 6 days. By the looks of things, the rectangular wires seem like they can bend on the leveling plane? I thought only round wires could level but perhaps the light rectangulars can a...

Re: chichi is braced!
Had my 3rd adjustment today. I'm in all rectangular wires now (yay!!) and I've got a second elastic configuration. Wires: Upper - 0.014 x 0.025 Lower - 0.018 x 0.025 Elastics: Rabbit elastics in triangle configuration on left (top canine to lower canine & 1st premolar) Dolphin elastics class III...

Re: Clashing Brackets
They may not have to move the bracket, but they can give you molar buildups or bite blocks to keep them from hitting. Both of you should really call your orthos and get this taken care of.

Re: Clashing Brackets
You should definitely get this taken care of. Sounds like someone needs molar buildups

Re: Struggling with my quail elastics
What configuration do they have you wearing? I have rabbit elastics, which are the same diameter as quail, but almost twice the strength. It was awkward at first, but now I'm able to get them in without trouble. It might just take some time for you to get used to putting them in.

Re: Sonicare toothbrush and braces
Brackets break off easily when early on in braces not because they are instrisically weak until time passes, but rather because a bad bonding simply has no strength; if you went on a liquid diet right out of the gate, it would simply fail as soon as you put any stress at all on it. For better or wo...

Re: Bottom left teeth tilted inwards?
There's no doubt you feel pressure. I would describe it as a feeling of tightness (and then the pain...), but it's not necessarily pressure/tightness in the sense that it's pushing everything inwards.
