I got some ipr on my lateral incisors because they were pretty wide. Well that left little gaps on both sides. They put a power chain on and the left side closed immediately but I've now had a power chain 4 times in a row (so 24 weeks) and the right side hasn't closed. Am I right in assuming that if...

Ignore the weird colors on my teeth. That was right after I gt them put on and apparently he made marks haha.

My husband isn't supportive at all. He thinks that it's silly, it's a waste of money and that it's completely unnecessary. There is no way these braces would be happening if I weren't paying for them myself. I don't let it bother me, I did it for me not for him.

@ tashi I just have clear ligs. They really aren't bad for staining so far at all. The only things I do, is immediately brush my teeth after I eat something that might stain, and if I drink coffee or tea or anything else dark, I use a straw. I know it's a pretty dumb question, but they don't really look stained to me. I don't know if it's just cause I see them all the time so I don't notice them changing or what but I expected them to be worse by now. The top picture is when I first got them and the bottom is after 4 weeks.

My ortho said 20 months estimated with full metal or 22 months with ceramic on top. He said he can't tighten ceramic as much as metal and needs to be more gentle on them. It's only two months though so I'm not too worried about it.

I've only had mine for 3 weeks and I really don't notice them much anymore except when I'm eating. It's still kinda hard to eat without my top teeth hitting my bottom brackets. But besides that, they are pretty comfortable now. It was about a week when I could stop wearing wax.

I've read so many things that said I wouldn't notice any changes until after a few months. Imagine how excited I was to see this. This was after only 5 days.

Colgate complete doesn't whiten I'm pretty sure. And I just use regular listerine.

My sister had extractions and I can assure you she looks exactly the same as she did before. Her nose or chin don't look any different.

I just use my front side camera on my phone. It works good enough.

This is a great idea. Too bad I am so bad at spotting extractions haha.

I was really worried about this. I know I will be thinking about it the whole time and it will distract me. Hopefully I can learn to put it out of my mind.

I only show the top for the most part. I think you can see some of the bottom when I laugh though.
