My Vivera retainer was based on my last tray (with the over-correction).

Re: To extract or not to extract, that is the question...
I would get it extracted. After two rounds of full braces, you want to have the best teeth you can. It is just one tooth. If he was talking about more than one tooth (after all of the teeth you've already had extracted) I would say no. You look like you have a small mouth anyway.

Re: Beware "Holistic" Dentists
Thanks god for the fluoride free toothpaste. I am allergic/hypersensitive to fluoride so I need to brush with SOMETHING. I have NOT gotten more cavities since I stopped using it. Less if anything. Nutrition and keeping the teeth clean seem to play a bigger part than fluoride. Cultures that eat zero...

Re: Pros and cons of different types of braces
I ended up getting Invisalign, but if I had to get regular braces, I would have gotten either:
Clear on top and gold on the bottom.
Or gold everywhere!
I think that the gold brackets are more unique than the traditional silver metal. They look quite cool IMHO.

Re: Not wearing retainer
Please don't waste your money. If you don't wear the retainer, you will increase the likelihood of your teeth moving. Please wear them. If you don't like the kind you have, try another type of retainer.

Re: Braces again...help please!!
Teeth can move at anytime so yes it is possible for your teeth to move after having braces as a teen. If you did not wear your retainer properly, then it is much more likely that your teeth will move. You might need braces again but technology has changed. The brackets are likely to be smaller. You ...

Re: Stereotypical Responses to Dental Problems
I usually don't bother explaining anything since it is none of their business. A lot of people are morons. Exactly. I hate to say it but most people are. I am very careful who I discuss things with. And I am not just talking dental things....a lot of things people just don't understand and just are...

Re: Moving to another city- Continue treatment?
Yes, you can do a transfer. Just call your current doctor's office and tell them the issue. They will probably take pictures and everything before you go. As long as you are in good financial standing with the current office, you can find a new office to take over when you move.
