Hi Jen
I used sterident denture tablets, the kind that you dissolve in water. Yes, it is common to feel that your tooth/teeth may fall out - they won't!! They have to get loose in order to move and yes, they probably are starting to move even after only 5 days, that is a good result!

Re: Inman aligners
Hi Jenwalton01 Your speech will improve and your mouth will start to feel more comfortable so stick with it. I drank loads of cold water to cool my mouth down and I this definitely helped - I would recommend you read out loud to improve your speech, even though it sounds stupid it really does work -...

Re: Inman aligners
Hi Jenwaltono1 From start to finish it took 6 months BUT I only wore the aligner for 7 weeks and had adjustments 3 times during this period, I then moved on to the clear plastic (Essix) retainer which is lovely compared to the inman, this doesn't affect your speech at all and is comfortable to wear ...

Re: Inman aligners
Hi Jenwaltono1 It seems you are getting on fine with your aligner, I finished all my treatment back in November last year and it is definitely worth it - I felt just like you for the first couple of weeks, awful speech and a very sore mouth but persevere with it all and you will be delighted with th...

Re: Inman aligners
Teeth look fab Rosiesue and so glad that your dentist is sorting you out. It will all be fine at the end, and the Essix retainer is much better than the inman, I'm sure you'll agree!

Re: Inman aligners
Poor you Rosiesue, that's awful but I'm sure your dentist will rectify it for you and all will be fine - annoying though! I'm surprised you didn't have to wear a plastic retainer for a while before your permanent retainer was fitted, I had one for a while and my dentist told me that this was while w...

Re: Inman aligners
Hi helenv I used normal sterident tablets discolved in luke warm water, pop your aligner in this solution for a couple of minutes and rinse well in cold water - job done! With regard to sores, any mouth ulcer gel is fine, it was my left inside cheek that was sore but this only lasted a few days, you...

Re: Inman aligners
helenv - stick with your plan, it will be hard for the first week, especially speech but your holiday will relax you and ease the aching mouth and you will be less embarrassed speaking to your friends than you would your work colleagues. By the time you get back to work, your speech will have improv...

Re: Inman aligners
Rosiesue, so gutted for you, this is the hardest part but your dentist is like mine was, very meticulous and only wants the best results for you so just a little more patience and you'll be there next time I'm sure. Have a great holiday and you should be OK keeping your inman in for 16 hours (that's...
