Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Screen Shot 2015-12-28 at 5.41.18 PM.png Guys, I don't know what to do. Months of trying to close this gap and it's just not happening. At least not the way we're doing it. Because of that, the left side of my mouth is still a mess. Screen Shot 2015-12-28 at 5.38.51 PM.png Screen Shot 2015-12-28 at...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Thank you so much Freyja, you have no idea how much better you comment makes me feel. I think being so ignorant about this whole thing and not getting much info from my ortho has made things worse in my head.

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Hello everyone! Just an update on my situation. Even though my canine came down over 3 months ago, i think i'm facing the biggest hurdle of this whole journey right now. Just look at how awful my teeth look: FullSizeRender.jpg The left side (where my canine came down) looks okay because we managed t...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Wow sadiered, that sounds like quite the ordeal. I was put to sleep for my operation, was that not an option for you? I pretty much just ate soup and other soft food for about 5 days or so. As for me, my canine is down into place. Feels surreal since it felt like i'd never get to this point. I have ...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Welcome, sadiered! I had some mild pain on the day of the surgery but after that it didn't hurt at all. My teeth getting adjusted to the pressure from the braces was way worse of a pain. Wishing you luck. I have been reading that a few people have said that their front teeth ended up off the midline...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Thank you Siobhan. Hopefully you'll let us see your pretty smile when you're done, those of us still in this process need all the encouragement we can get.

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Siobhan, I am super relieved to hear that. What were the power chains like, pain wise? How long did it take for everything to move back to where it was?

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
FullSizeRender.jpg So after about 19 months...here it is! I had surgery done to laser off some of the gum around the tooth, which allowed my ortho to move the bracket from the bottom of the tooth to the middle. I lost almost a month waiting for the area to heal but now we're pulling this bad boy do...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Congrats oregon! You are incredibly lucky to have gone through this process so quickly. Soon you'll be able to smile and look great. As for me, my canine has finally been straightened completely and moved forward between my two teeth. We're officially ready to start pulling it down into place. Howev...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Oh no uneven, how unfortunate. Especially since you'll be losing those weeks. Hoping for a speedy recovery on your part. My tooth is also almost in place. The gum area and tooth have been sore which sucks but it makes me happy to see that there's movement. It just needs a little nudge to get there. ...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Hey guys! Clipboard.jpg So the picture on the left was my tooth back in August, four months into this whole thing. The one on the right is my tooth now. As you can see it's now it's been straightened (some of the tooth seems to have gone back into the gum in the process) and moved forward. It contin...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
My confidence is at an all time low as well. I try my hardest not to show my teeth when I laugh or talk. It doesn't help that my front teeth have been moving forward and it just looks a mess. Often I just want to say to hell with it and get an implant. It's been a year since activation and most of i...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
I'm 30 too. About 30% of my tooth is out which took 7 months. Now for the last 3 we've been trying to turn it because it's coming in sideways and it's been slower than I hoped. I'll probably need one or two more months of that /sigh/
My other teeth have been moving so much as well, it's just a mess.
