That's good news Helenv x I have had my 2 week check up now too. My dentist seemed pleased, although I haven't noticed any change x I don't really like the filing that has to happen every 2 weeks. It doesn't hurt, but I don't enjoy it x just keep focussing on the end result x

Thanks dave84. You are right it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. it was fitted yesterday. I had to have lots of filing first, that didn't hurt but was a strange process. Apparently I will need that every two weeks! It's a struggle getting it in and out, but hopefully that will get easier in time x ...

How is it going Helenv and David84?

I get mine fitted on Monday and I am really getting nervous, after having the expander for about 4 months, I have started to panic about getting the actual inman!

I am wondering if I might need the say off work to get used to it? Any views?

Fingers crossed, it was third time lucky today. Been back to the dentist and had my third set of impressions taken. Will find out on Wednesday if I finally have the go ahead to continue. If so I will have my inman before Christmas xx

I am still on the expander, so no inman yet, but I am being patient, and hoping all the groundwork is being done !

Well disappointing news today, after having all my impressions taken for a 2nd time on Monday, the dentist rang to day to say that I have to stick my expander for another 5 weeks. Still not enough room .. So this will be 11 weeks and still no inman!
