Re: Unrelenting pain.
I'm really fickle with pain relief... I can feel my gut rotting with ibuprofen. Usually paracetamol does the trick and if it's really bad a neurofen plus with some metaclopramide or omeprazole as a gastric protectant. However, nothing touched it. I had a restful night last night and the pain was 6/1...

TAD removal.
Could anyone share the experience?
I'm not looking forward to mine.
Perhaps I could just keep it forever!?

Unrelenting pain.
So... Think we are finally, at last on the home straight. I have two gaps to close...so have a whopper of a powerchain on uppers and lower steel wire has some interesting kinks in it... However, for the last four days I've had horrific, unrelenting pain. I had to admit defeat tonight and had some or...

Re: Gift for my orthodontist
This is a lovely idea. ....if you folded it up, it would be the same size as a cushion. I am lucky to receive lots of gifts from clients. I've had flowers/champagne/wine/chocolate/fruit hampers/dinner out/pictures/canvases with pictures, etc etc. I would be absolutely thrilled if someone brought me ...

Re: Damon price question
Wowzers that's AMAZING!
I'm at the RH clinic in Harrogate and I've paid £4500.
That's for clear upper and metal lower damons.
I have a TAD too.
I'm on month 27 and so cheesed of with length of treatment time.
I don't regret doing it... Go for it!!!!!

Re: Attitude towards adult brace-wearers in England?
Hi, agree with what everyone has said so far. The only person who has a problem with my braces is me. I'm sick of mine. I was told that my teeth had not moved between my last two appointments which were 12weeks apart. If I had a pair of pliers I'd rip them off tonight. I don't see many people in bra...

Re: Move lower teeth back?
Hi, Yes, it is possible to move teeth with various devices- springs and also TADs or miniscrews. I have a miniscrew at the moment and it is helping to move my upper right 5 backwards as I have no 6,7 or 8... Also have had springs too but the TAD is supposed to be quicker and more reliable/heavy duty...

Re: Braces 10mm Overjet
Hi, Dont want to rain on your parade... but its not just as simple as yanking back protruding teeth. You have to take into account lots of other factors- such as crowding and alterations to bite when changing how teeth sit. Please speak with your ortho and ask them what the plan is: 1.) how long tre...

Wow!
Your teeth look amazing! I'd be so tempted to go for a debrace ASAP.
Good luck.

Re: Cosmetic Dentist or Orthodontist?
In my opinion you get what you pay for.... I've had some really really bad experiences with dentists- including a dentist taking the wrong tooth out... So I'd say go and see the best person in the field- ie a qualified post grad orthodontist. Good luck on your braces journey. Don't forget to keep us...

Re: Advice on private orthodontic treatment - your thoughts?
I'm seeing my ortho on the 30th. I'll ask if he can recommend anyone in Glasgow. I'm so frightened of extractions now, I've been told I need a general anaesthetic because I fought against them so much even with IV sedation. Hence why I'm uber keen for everyone to explore every option... I must say t...

Re: Read this before getting Fastbraces
I think this is excellent advice. A friend of mine has had 6month smile treatment. Yes it has straightened her incisors and canines but now she feels like her bite isn't right, her bottom teeth now look more wonky than before... Oh and the advice given- well you asked us to straighten your top 6 tee...
