Re: Braces at 30
Why do you have, or rather, did you have an anterior open bite? We can move teeth all day long, but at the end of the day, our cheeks and tongue are our retainers..........Heck, I closed my open bite almost a full millimeter if i recall just from changing my tongue posture.... but the hard thing is ...

Re: Finishing phase time????
i spent about 6 months in active retention, iirc after a few adjustments and getting my entire uppers repositioned. For finishing, they did my IPR early on. My finishing is annoying. They should have removed my molar rings up top a few visits before to let those come forward instead i have had to us...

Re: New appliances / tongue crib and herbst activation
can you get to a Certified Oral Myologist (myofunctional therapy) for some tongue posture stuff? You might be fighting a losing battle here. There's a few that will do it online as well, and plenty of youtube vids to see the therapy so you have an idea of what to expect. It may not even be applicabl...

Re: Open Bite and Invisalign
Please check my posts. Invisalign is great for molar intrusion if done correctly. What happens when you open your mouth. Is your tongue in the spot in the roof of your mouth? Posture at rest is more important than thrusting but see where your tongue is when you smile and swallow.

Re: Open Bite - Tongue Thrust
Let me know what you'd like to know! Nip it in the bud now. Research orrhotropics more. Tads are good. Also they could use tongue Tamers, or something like a plain bracket bonded lingual to upper 1s and lower 2s. YouTube has tons. There's also great slp's willing to meet online. You don't have to ge...

Re: Anterior open bite, retreating 20 yrs later, intro and ?
I am! Things are so stable I can go part time with aligners. They are causing plaque even with xylitol everything, and dentist wants them gone. So I now need to convince them to install upper and lower vloop bonded lingual retainers, then make a new mold with those and have new set of essix and firs...

Re: What's your favourite elastic colours?
I prefer the clear Turquoise as it's quite durable for power chain.
For elastics I always used galapagos tortoise and divided up 4 bags by colors. Wore pink at night obviously. The neon green purple and orange were just mix and match!
If I was speaking to a group then I'd wear impala clear ones.

Can't say I have never had that sensation. Sounds to me like you should chew some gum carefully. Yes the studies are split 50-50 however I have found it eases any discomfort or strange feelings with braces just be careful

Awesome! I am glad you weren't afraid to try to fix the problem yourself! My office was also two hours away. And due to traveling frequently for work and having at one time 12 temporary Anchorage device mini screw implants I was always traveling with medical Tools. In my kit I always carry a sewing ...

Re: Getting Braces in Mexico - Save $$$
Well I should technically not say this for another five years just to make sure my teeth Don't relapse. However I have saved $50,000. I spent more money saving one molar with a root canal and crown(3500) than I did for my entire cost of Ortho treatment which lasted 3 years. I technically should have...

Re: Braces and fatigue syndromes
Can braces lower your immune system ?? That's a interesting question. They could make you more vulnerable orally, by way of all the scrapes or abrasions. Keep your mouth and hands CLEAN. I had a major issue I will not disclose here but has since been cured and wow, if you travel please use bottled ...
