Re: Braces removed early - teeth shifting
I've had a herbst appliance. However, will my midline shift if I'm straight out of elastics and into a permanent retainer?

Re: 100% Elastic Wear challenge and Public Shaming thread.
I think my main problem isn't forgetting to wear them, it's forgetting to take spares along in case they break/ pop off. It's even worse when you're hyperaware of not having elastics in when you're out and about.

Re: After 3 years what more can I do?
That sounds rough. I'm no expert, but I definitely think you should get the full archwire back on. Without either a wire or a retainer things won't hold in place for very long. How old are you? It's possible that you have very dense bone and things just aren't going to move as much as you would like...

Re: Tooth 180 degrees rotated
Sorry that your daughter is having a hard time and didn't get to feel as confident and as happy as she should have been at prom. I have heard of molars being 180° rotated, that have been turned around using braces. This doesn't sound like an option to you, and I think the best thing to do would be t...

Re: Question about Spacers
Some people say they're the worst part about braces, but I didn't think they were too bad, I already had some gaps so I only needed 2 spacers. It's harder to chew with them, but not impossible to eat a burger or something.

Braces removed early - teeth shifting
I posted this in the 'naked tooth' forum, but didn't receive an answer so I'll post it here as I feel like more people will read it. So, long story short I'm having my braces removed "early" (only by about a month, if that) due to psychological reasons. Has anyone had any experience with t...
My dentist told me that I'd have to wear my retainers for life is that normal?
Yep, if you want straight teeth forever, you've got to wear retainers forever.

Teeth shifting - braces removed early.
So, long story short I'm having my braces removed "early" (only by about a month, if that) due to psychological reasons. Has anyone had any experience with this. I understand that retainers should be worn 24/7, but will teeth still shift around even with a permanent retainer + and essix? d...
