Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Update: My braces are coming off on Tuesday :D. I'll be two months short of two years with them on. I'm very happy with how things have gone and I am loving my straight teeth. I'm looking forward to eating salads again without picking lettuce out of my braces and I'm looking forward to eating almond...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Update for me. My canine is in place. Now we're doing some detailing with the other teeth, and I think I'll be done with braces within the next month. Very excited about that. Not too excited about retainers though. All in all, going through the process hasn't been too bad. It's only been 18 months ...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
The roof of my mouth had some discomfort after a month. I wouldn't worry about it. I don't know about you, but I would rub my tongue across the roof of my mouth during the healing process...to probe how it was healing. It probably took the better part of a year before it felt smooth and normal again.

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Hey guys, I think it's been a little while since an update. I had another pano and much to the absolute surprise of my ortho...the tooth has FINALLY started moving! :-** But he is still cautiously optimistic. He referred me for a CT scan to see if there is any damage being done to the roots of my s...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Hi all! I'm new to the message boards! I too have an impacted canine and I just started my braces journey! I had a consultation with my ortho last week and we briefly discussed what an impacted canine means for my treatment but he couldn't go into depth because he didn't have a panoramic xray on me...
Another bummer adjustment.
Ortho said he's not sure if my canine is moving...or if everything else is moving? Sigh. Possible next xray in Feb. Next adjustment in 4 weeks.
Stay positive. Orthos have all kinds of tricks up their sleeves.

Hi, I'm a first time poster. I, too, had an impacted canine and got braces in January of '14. I was told it would take quite awhile for my tooth to come down because I was 42 years old. They weren't kidding. I'm in my tenth month and my cani...
Hello, I have a quick question. I have an impacted canine, however it is too impacted & the chances of puling it down with the chain and braces is very very low. I was wondering if I would need a surgery to remove the impacted canine or if I could just get the...
