Re: Finally starting the implant process
It went pretty good I had to be awake, but they numbed me up pretty well so I didn't feel any pain in my gums for most of the procedure; but near the end when they were doing the final stitches I started being able to feel the pain; i tried to just let them finish, but the dentist could tell I was s...

Finally starting the implant process
Tomorrow morning I'm getting a bone graft done, I'm a bit nervous about the whole thing, but my work week is done so I will get the procedure done and then be able to relax and try to enjoy myself the rest of the week. I don't know what to expect, but the biggest thing in my mind right now is the ex...

Re: dental implants? gums teeth ruining my life in late 20s
Im going to start the dental implant process in the near future; i had a consultation with the Implant Dentist already (a specialist with a very long time in the field); they are reviewing a CAT scam X-ray to see if i need the bone grafts; then once thats healed i can get the screw part put in and a...

Re: Mistake almost cost me $400
Thats what I did to make them usable, otherwise they wouldn't have fit at all.Bracingmyself901 wrote:I wonder if you put them back in hot water and tried them on while they were warm would that help (in case spending $400 would have been needed) get back to original shape
Glad it worked out in the end!

Mistake almost cost me $400
At Thanksgiving dinner i lost my retainers (in my living room); then found them after a lot of frustration, then i was impatient with cleaning them so i just left them in a bowl of how water. They warped and shrunk and i was barely able to get them back in a close enough shape to use while i waited ...

Re: Should i call my Ortho office?
Its been about 2.5 weeks; still doesn't seem like the clear retainer did anything to close to gap.

Re: How bad do my teeth look?
They dont look terribly crooked, although the Overbite (if thats what it is) is pretty obvious.
Only an Orthodontist could really tell you how bad it is and what you are going to need after they evaluate it.

Re: Please help - do you honestly wear your full-time elastics all the time?
I always wore my elastics basically 100% of the time; only exceptions were if i was eating, forgot to bring elastics (happened only a few times), or if the Ortho said i could wear elastics only at home (only happened with a couple configurations thats would of been hard to maintain out and about) W...

Braces Are Off!!!!
Im thrilled to have them off, the only bad thing is that theres a small gap between 2 of my bottom teeth; they have noticed it at my Ortho office (said it should close within a few days and did more impressions to alter my retainers) and if it doesnt close they will put on buttons and a chain to clo...
