I actually brushed the front, up until my first molar, on the first night of surgery...I wan...

Re: dry mouth with Invisalign
My first trays cause my mouth and lips to be super dry!!! I used chap stick for my lips and just started drinking a ton of water to keep my mouth lubricated. Luckily I didn't have to deal with that tray too long because I had extractions so I kept them off for a while. Weirdly, with the second trays...

Re: Invisalign and extractions
I had 4 wisdom teeth removed after I got my first set of trays. I got my scans and impressions before my extractions and I started Invisalign on the 19th of Dec and wore them up until the day of the surgery, which was 23rd of Dec. My oral surgeon said to keep it off until the post-op check up appoin...

Re: Invisalign-third day
My case is serious too!!! I have extreme crowding on the upper arch. My sentence is also around 2+ years. I originally wasn't a candidate for Invisalign and was set on getting traditional metal braces but my orthodontist called me back after a conference he went to and said he saw a similar case lik...

Re: Invisalign attachments? Overall experience?
My attachments experiences was pretty good! I got 16 attachments with 2 attachments on the lower canines. Most likely will be adding more as treatment continues. Unfortunately my orthodontist didn't tell me how many attachments I will be getting before hand. I was afraid of the acid wash since I jus...

Re: How often do you interact with your orthodontist?
Since I just started my treatment, I've seen the orthodontist for everyone of my appointments.
He helped set me up for my first tray, my second tray and put on my attachments. My next appointment is in 6 weeks. I think that'll be mostly the average time I'll be seeing him.

Re: How many aligners would have been too many for you
I have 42 trays... I already think thats a lot.
But I've seen others with 70+ trays and another person with 90+ trays!
I think I would've went with braces if it was more than 50. I can't imagine myself having to brush my teeth more than 3 times a day for 50+ trays. :O

Re: What did you pay for your treatment?
1. Approx 2.5 years. 2. Around $4,400. USD I was quoted $5,900 but insurance covered me $1,000 and I had a referral discount (-5%) + discount for paying in full (-5%). I originally went for braces but my ortho wanted to test Invisalign on me. 3. Invisalign 4. Lots of crowding in upper arch, minor cr...

Re: How painful can invisalign get?
Hmmm, for my first set of trays, I was feeling a lot of tenderness in my teeth on the first night during dinner time and all through the second and third day especially when I was taking them off and putting them on (Third day was already getting better though). I didn't even have attachments on yet...
