Thanks for the feedback!! I pretty much posted that for ideas of treatment for what I can do. I feel so hopless right now and just can't see myself living with such pain. What is even worse is that I have big dreams, big ambitions and am so focused but this pain holds me back so much (sometimes I ca...

A question about genioplasty.

I had a genioplasty and upper jaw advancment last September and I'm in Canada. My oral surgeon only charged me $1,000.00 for the genioplasty but I've read the average price for this (based on Plastic Surgeon sites) is like $2,000-$5,000. If you're referred to an oral surgeon do you get off lucky wit...

Hello Peanut and congrats on getting through your surgery! from the sounds of it, me and you where only days apart from when we got our operation. I had my upper jaw moved foward and work done on my chin, he also inserted bone grafts (sp?) around my cheekbone area. I'm still a teen, though, and I wa...

Thanks alot, Guys. I was just a bit worried about it all. I've had wisdom teeth extracted and another surgery, while I was smoking, and I, as well, never had a problem -same deal. never was asked. never knew-. I knew about the risks going into this surgery and that I had to give it up, so I did. I j...

No, of course not. I didn't even mean that I was starting back up again, it's just that I've been smoking since I was 15...so that has been a little over 3 and a half years and it was hard for me to quit - I slipped, but I sure as heck don't want to go back and I'm not "addicted" to it any...

Smoking-Post Op. (Question)

Hey Guys, I was just wondering if you could give me information on smoking after surgery? I remember by doctor was a simple "no" and that it caused infection-or could, or something like that. I'm 13days post op and had a smoke today (I know, I'm horrible!). I don't plan on reintroducing my...
