This is my second week of spacers. I know they're uncomfortable, but it feels like little knife edges sticking out of my teeth! Of course I can't stop touching them with my tongue. Can I put wax or something on them?

You might try the Dentek brushes for tight spaces. I know you can get them at the drug store and Walmart.

I'm hoping I lose some . I know just having spacers, I get tired of trying to chew, so just give up about 1/2 way through. Seems like it just takes to long. Right now, i've found that fish is tolerable. Guess that's a good thing. At least its healthy.

Well, second round of spacers are on and braces next week.. This time they feel different. I can actually feel it all the way up to my nose. Weird. Right now they dont hurt, but that's what I said last time. Maybe they wont hurt in the morning...crossing fingers.

Hello! New to the forum and the "archwired" world. I had my first 8 spacers placed last week and get them replaced this week. Braces go on next week :) YAY!! My question is, is there supposed to be this much pain just with spacers? And it feels like my bite is REALLY off now.
