Update coming

Well it's been a while since I checked in. I'm working on loading the pics that I have but it's taking me a bit to figure it out. I have had the braces on now for almost 3 months. I still hate eating as I can't stand to have food get stuck in my teeth/braces. It seems like the process can not go fas...

Similar Surgery - Those Mysterious Canines

Hi Loop- Just been reading your story on those impacted canines. Just had surgery yesterday for removing those canines, the baby canines and one lower front. Sound familiar? They had to remove my impacted canines through the roof of my mouth - don't know the details as they told me I didn't want to ...

Totally Canineless

Thanks Fyrelight, Lucyeloop and Joplin for your input and support. Today the baby canines, lower front and impacted canines came out. Surgery went well except for the impacted canines. There position made it a bit complicated and the fact they were pretty well have in the bone tissue made them a bi...

Switched toothpast

I switched because the information was inconclusive. I've used whitening toothpaste for years and have noticed a difference as have some people that I know. When I get the braces off, which will be 2+ years, I do not want to have spots where the braces were. I switched to another toothpaste, would r...

Extraction of Impacted Canines

I just got my braces on Monday 9/19/05. This upcoming Friday, the 30th I am scheduled for extraction of 5 teeth. The oral surgeon will be removing two baby canines and one lower front. The thing I'm creeped out about is the extraction of both impacted canines. Has anyone had this procedure done. I k...

24 Hours Later

I've had the braces now for a whole day. Right now my mouth is sore, my lower lip, the insides of my cheeks and the back of my tongue. Eating anything at this point is a pain in the butt. Takes way too much effort. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have heard conflicting reports about using an...

Braces are on

Well I just got home, after a two hour appointment. It's amazing how much your mouth can stretch. - LOL. Braces were put on top (ceramic) and the bottom (metal). All the brackets are in place. Right now I only have wire on the top front four teeth. Need to leave room for the surgeon to remove the te...

Impacted canines

I'm getting the braces on tomorrow the 19th. I'm scheduled for surgery on the 30th. They will be removing the baby canines, one lower front and the impacted canines. They will strictly be removing them as they lay horizontally in the roof of my mouth. My Dr. said the odds of pulling them down is too...

New Braces on Monday

I just got spacers in on Tuesday and they are driving me nuts. The braces are coming on Monday the 19th. Now I know why they want payment up front. Not sure if I'd go back - well, I would at least to get these spacers out.
