Tooth pain after surgery?

I had a 3 piece lefort on July 29th. Doing pretty well post op but have a question.. Is it normal to have a weird sensation in my left FRONT tooth when I chew on my left side or yawn? It's not a real pain, it's more of a pressure/awareness...which I don't feel anywhere else bc everything is numb. Bt...

Any teachers on here have surgery?

I was just wondering if there are any other teachers on here who have had jaw surgery? My surgery is scheduled for July 29th and I go back to work September 9th... I know that seems like a good amount of time. I was wondering how long it took to feel back to your normal self as a teacher... Being up...

Re: June/July Surgery Buddies

Yeah I wasn't really feeling it and the 2+ hour wait the day I went kind of left a bad taste in my mouth even though Dr. Rosenberg was so nice... I thought if I'm going to do this I would rather just pay for the really well known out of network doctor to have it done perfectly and be given the atten...

Re: June/July Surgery Buddies

Snap... I'm from Brooklyn, work in a school in queens(maspeth) but moved to long beach last year. Tracey Rosenberg also works at an office in Massapequa which is where I went to see her. She was the ONLY doctor I could find that was in network and willing to do the surgery! I actually went to her of...

Re: June/July Surgery Buddies

Dr. Schwartz but the same office/practice! Who is your surgeon? I found one in network doctor who was willing to do the surgery but she said she wasn't 100%comfortable doing more than a one piece lefort (I need a 3 piece) and she really highly recommended dr. Schwartz as well

Re: June/July Surgery Buddies

No, I honestly don't want to wait any longer to get the surgery. I'm a teacher and can't take off and get paid so I have to do this over the summer. I'm ready to go and want this over with! I have to put an 8k deposit down for the surgery, hope the insurance company reimburses me some money and then...

Re: Anyone know any good surgeon in Connecticut?

I am using NYCOMS in Long Island (I believe they have an office in NYC as well). My surgeon is the co-founder of the practice Dr. Schwartz (along with Dr. Sachs who someone mentioned above). The office was very highly recommended and as it turns out my husband's friend had jaw surgery a few years ag...

Does getting wires and Bands changed after surgery hurt?

I've been wondering if, for example at your first orthodontist appointment for getting your wires and bands changed after surgery, does that hurt a lot? My orthodontist and his assistants aren't exactly "gentle" when changing out wires and I've been thinking about how that will feel when m...

How often?

How often do you see your orthodontist to have your wires and rubber bands changed? My orthodontist had me coming every 4 weeks to start, then it was every 3 weeks, now next time he asked me to come back in 2 weeks. Is that normal, or okay for your teeth?
