Haha. That's crazy you still can't open all the way. I'm glad it's not stopping you from eating everything. Haha I have seen the Facebook pics. Things with me are good. My opening is good. My lower lip and chin is still probably 50-75% numb. I honestly doubt it will come back. Other than that we are...

Re: June/July Surgery Buddies
Jamie- I finally caught up with your blog. Haha you are looking great! I'm with Snap, there is something different. Did you cut your hair? I'm sorry about your TMJ pain. I wonder if the one side is sore from being used more. I hope it clears up soon. Have you talked to your doctor about it? Also, I ...

Re: June/July Surgery Buddies
Nozzelnut- I'm glad I am not alone on all of these "problems" but it sucks that we have to go through them. I had an emotional break down on my hubby via skype earlier about how the whole process sucks and I just want to be back to normal. I also don't have a smooth fluid movement when eat...

Re: June/July Surgery Buddies
Hello all! I know it has been a while. I have finally moved up to Oklahoma. My hubby is still in Texas but I hope to get him back at the end of the month. My 2 month post op is tomorrow. I can't believe it as only been 2 months. That is craziness to me. I am still numb in all the same places. My low...

Re: June/July Surgery Buddies
Jaime-thanks! I move next Friday. I read your latest blog. I love seeing all of our progress. Gives me hope that I won't be numb forever lol Well, I ended up back at the orthodontist yesterday. I am officially off rubber bands again. The one on the right left a huge ulcer/sore. Because my lip is num...

Re: June/July Surgery Buddies
Vaguy- I'm glad you're jaw is ok. I hope your start feeling better soon. I'm glad they caught the infection as well. I met with my orthodontist for the first time today since surgery. They took the surgical hooks off but added a few hooks to a few of my bottom brackets. I have to wear rubber bands i...

Re: June/July Surgery Buddies
Snap- that makes me feel better. I feel alright most of the time. I have had a few moments of light headedness. Some days I am so exhausted and others I feel great. I guess I just need to remind myself that I am still healing and you can't rush progress.

Re: June/July Surgery Buddies
Speaking of weight, have y'all been able to gain what you lost very easily? I started off at 108 and am down to 99-100 (depending on the day). I've stayed a consistent 100lbs the past few weeks so I guess staying consistent is better than losing any more weight. I have always been slender and have h...

Re: June/July Surgery Buddies
Kayla- I'm so glad you are doing well! I think it's safe to say we were all worried about you. I'm sorry your jaw still is feeling loose though. That can't be a comfortable feeling. I still take my muscle relaxers every once in a while because I feel like I am clenching/grinding at night. Jamie- I h...

Re: June/July Surgery Buddies
Vaguy- wow that is awesome you didn't have a hard recovery. I'm almost 4 weeks post op and I still get sick, sore and exhausted. Well....I've been sick the past couple of days. My food intake has slowed down a little due to my jaw being sore. I already know I haven't gained any weight back. :/ Also,...

Re: June/July Surgery Buddies
Ok, I know I'm only 3.5 weeks post op but how long did y'all have muscle pain/soreness? My jaw on the right side has been sore off and on since the beginning. The doctor said it's just the muscle. I can't hold my teeth together without discomfort. It feels like when I close my mouth the muscle doesn...

Re: June/July Surgery Buddies
Snap- I take my muscle relaxers at night so I don't really notice the drowsiness. I also have only taken them a few times.
