Hi all, I'm a little over 3 months post op double jaw surgery. Sensations are returning well minus my maxilla. All I can feel is a slight tickle on my palate when I run my tongue over it- my teeth and upper gums have nothing. I know it's still pretty early, but did anyone have numbness like this?

Maybe check w/ your surgeon next appt. Hopefully it goes away by then. I'm eating soft food pretty well now. Anyone having trouble talking? Just bout a month post op. Not sure if its the swelling or numbness or stiffness. Having a hard time saying some things like "key" My palate is still totally numb maybe thats why?

Apparently from the maxilla surgery, it disrupts where your palate muscles attach and you get Eustachian tube symptoms (pain with swallowing, feeling underwater). It should subside my dr said.

Does anyone have pain in their ear or ears when they swallow? My right tmj is hurting when I open and when I swallow I get some pain there. Is it temporary??

6 days post op double jaw surgery. I think the worst part is the congestion in my sinuses and pressure in my ears (hearing feels like I'm underwater). I flushed out my nostrils with saline spray which helped a bit.

Face is still tickly and tingling in some spots and still swollen.

Got my surgical hooks put on yesterday (poking my cheeks). I'm set for August 24th!

Really excited to get my bite corrected - asymmetrical 5mm and then I have a 3.5mm underbite. I am 26 years old
