That's the main thing right?! I'll gladly accept them if it helps with the end result. If you're going to do it, you might as well do it right.

It's funny the things you take for granted before braces! I'm four weeks in and getting used to them but still have trouble eating things. I also pull my burger into little pieces. It might be better for me to just not eat them lol.

I have ceramics but I have to say, I think if I had metal braces I'd be ok. If you're self-conscious enough to get braces then what difference does having them on make? At least with braces you know you're fixing a problem.

I do 30 seconds each quadrant. But I brush my teeth about 5/6 times a day. Not sure if that's good or bad...

I agree with everyone else. Get a few more quotes and you'll know where you stand then. If they're all similar then it's obviously something to do with your particular case.

Congratulations on being so close. That's crazy that the powerchains worked so quickly on the gap. I've heard they hurt a lot though.

I paid $3,200 for mine. I wasn't covered by insurance so it's all out of pocket.

I just got my braces one month ago, aged 30. It's something I should have done ages ago. My teeth aren't too bad but my two upper incisors always bothered me. I went with the six month smiles option. Can't wait until they're off.
