Re: [Warning: graphic!!] Cloudy film over extraction site?

Also, don't worry if the white/grey stuff starts to grow.. mine got *really* big - it was pretty gross, but it's normal. They will fall off in their own time when the gum is sufficiently healed underneath.

Re: [Warning: graphic!!] Cloudy film over extraction site?

Yes totally normal! The white/greyish stuff is basically your mouth's version of a scab - try not to disturb it as much as you can as it is helping to keep a protective layer over the blood clot. Just be gentle when brushing around the extraction areas and it'll be fine :) I was constantly worried I...

Re: how long will i hurt for

I feel you, I really do. When I got my extractions & braces, I was using a hand blender to blend up my porridge in the morning because I couldn't even chew that, and it was the really fine stuff. For me, the worst of the pain was probably over after a month - it was a gradual process of improvem...

Gaps after de-bonding...?

Hey all, Hoping somebody can offer some advice on this. I had 2 upper bicuspid extractions prior to getting my braces. I got the braces taken off last Wednesday (the 12th) & had permanent retainers fitted onto my front 6 teeth, top & bottom. I was then told to come back in 2 weeks to get my ...

Re: My Damon Clear braces journey!

THEY'RE OFF!!! :jump: Exactly 14 months after getting them on, I am free!! I am so delighted with my result, I could never ever have imagined what I would look like with straight teeth before. I thought in the last few months I had some idea of how they'd look as I'd imagined them many times without...

Re: 28 year old fast braces

Hang in there - I remember feeling exactly the same when things started moving and rubbing the hell out of my cheek where they hadn't before. I cried over my dinner because the wax kept falling off and it was so painful to chew! It gets better though I promise. You've made a lot of progress already ...

Re: My Damon Clear braces journey!

Your teeth look like the model teeth they use to advertise the Damon ceramics! So jealous- going to look incredible when they are off. Thank you so much Shelleyt! That's really kind of you to say. On the subject of getting them off... I have a little update. I have a debracing date... and it's next...

Re: I'm sure this is normal, but...

Totally normal, don't worry! I often found the teeth I least expected to hurt/click/wiggle were the ones that did. I think molars & pre-molars are especially prone to clicking, at least in my experience! I've also usually noticed after an adjustment it would be the teeth directly adjacent to the...

Re: My Damon Clear braces journey!

Thanks for the kind words, guys! Your teeth look wonderful already! I'm thinking of starting a braces story myself. :) Definitely do! It's so wonderful being able to look back on your progress. Gives you a real boost when you're having a one of those days when you wish you could rip your braces out ...

Re: My Damon Clear braces journey!

Wow it has been a loooong time since I posted an update  I hope everybody is doing well & making excellent progress :) I've officially had my braces now for over a year, wahoo! The time has absolutely flown by. When I first started this, the thought of 14-18 months in braces felt like an ...
