Unfortunately, shopping around is the best way I know of. I had a handful of different quotes that were quite different from each other. The lowest quote was over $900 less than the highest quote.

I don't think my ortho office has ever had someone swallow a spacer. But we've all decided that its better to swallow a spacer than a bracket, wire tie, or surgical hook. This is so accurate. I, fortunately only have brackets on my bottom teeth. The blessing and curse is I can still quickly floss the top and remind myself of what I'm missing out on with my bottom teeth. Welcome to the team!

Long story short: Records went well, spacers were as bad as I remembered, I now have full brackets on bottom with pink ligatures.

I came to add advice, but I'm too late. How's your first full day in braces going?
