Constricted feeling. I can't stand up straight and maintain a comfortably open airway. Its a torturous compromise between airway and posture/neck strain.
I had bimax done for sleep apnea. My sleep has drastically improved, but the daytime constricted feeling is unacceptable.

Re: Getting ready for revision surgery!
I too believe I need a revision surgery. Are you seeking a different surgeon or are you using the surgeon who performed the initial surgery?

Re: March 2016 surgery buds
Cbrfoltz Coffee stirrer, hah, dear god that is awful. Isn't it awful that a percentage of the population suffers through a constricted airway and it isn't more well known. A lot of people just look at me like I am making things up when I explain why I had this surgery. Many people don't even know th...

Re: March 2016 surgery buds
I'm sure you will be beautiful. I think people overestimate how much different they will look. I sure did. Even if I had larger advancement I don't think it would be that much different than the subtle changes that take place from gaining or losing some weight.

Re: March 2016 surgery buds
150mm is 15 centimeters. That is just under 6 inches. Are you saying the lower end of normal airway width is a half foot? The width of my entire neck is less than a half of a foot.

Re: March 2016 surgery buds
Very interesting! My advancement was 4mm maxilla, 9mandible, and 7 genio. I honestly think I need more advancement.
Thanks again for sharing. I think your decimal point is off one place on your measurements. No? 300mm? 150mm? you mean 30 and 15 right?

Re: Recovery from orthognathic surgery before you can talk again
Im two and a half weeks post surgery and I talk well and can be clearly understood. I have a small amount of trouble with b)s and p)s but that is really it.
I have been reading aloud. I'm sure that helped.

Re: March 2016 surgery buds
Hey How much are they moving your jaws? Can you give a little background on your situation? That seems like such a long time to be in a hotel? Why are you traveling so far? etc, etc Let me tell you, I stayed with my parents, and I was worried that I would be a lot of work to take care of. Honestly b...

Re: March 2016 surgery buds
Hey! I am two weeks post op and things are healing wonderfully. The swelling has decreased drastically. No major complications. I can breath through my nose! My sleep has improved. My profile has improved. I actually think that my tmjs are in a more harmonious position. They feel better, and althoug...

Re: Sleep Apnea
I will speak for myself only. The CPAP did not work for me. That is why I am pursuing the surgery. The biometric data sent via Wi-Fi concluded that I keep it on no longer than 3 hours before I rip it off in my sleep. I have attempted to use the CPAP regularly for over 2 years. I have tried many diff...
