Honestly, for me it was the most horrifying dental experience. I was 16 & getting braces & need the 4 bi-cuspids pulled. My dentist since I was 3 said he could do it...i still wanted to be sedated. Ya...i was crying & nitrous made it worse! I could feel the pressure & the CRACK God.....

Ya....so it's been 6 hrs since the shots and I AM STILL NUMB. They had to give me 3.....guess I'm just sensitive. ALSO...i was there for 3 hrs..i was told 1.5 but he was running behind (seems to always be running behind the past few times i've been there) Yea...and i have an old cavity on the other ...

Hi all...been braces free for 'bout 5.5 yrs. But was does suck is I have to have 2 fillings this Wed (one b/c the filling came out & I have a temp). I SO hate it b/c of the numbness. They always say it will go away after 1-2 hrs...nope..not me...maybe after 5-6 hrs it begins to go away. I think ...

I wouldn't worry about it...sounds like you're being careful.

I had braces for 2 yrs. I drank AT LEAST 3 pepsi's a day...and at whatever I wanted (never broke anything either). I had no stains when they came off. I brushed, flossed & used ACT mouthwash as usual...but nothing else

I wouldn't wear the strips while wearing the retainer. You only have to wear the strips like 20 min a day right? You will be ok without a retainer for that long...like eating...right?

No..they shouldn't relapse much over night at all....and what they do the retainers will fix.

When I got my braces off, I waited a week for my clear retainers..they were tight for a few days...but then they were fine.

In Dec. it'll be 5 yrs w/out braces. I had the clear retainers (top & bottom) for about 4 months (ltill 4/01 & lost them/dog ate them) but I got the hawley kind (top & bottom) when I realized the loss (which is what I was going to get @ 6 mths anyways). I haven't seen my ortho since then...
