I've had this discussion with my boyfriend as well(who also has naturally perfect, straight teeth- grrr). Definitely wish I had done this when I was younger. I smile soooooo much more now! My teeth were a giant mess before braces and I was embarrassed about my smile, so it's a significant improvement and I am proud to show it off (even with a gap still)

It gets easier! Your teeth are constantly moving and things get easier as they move. I constantly got floss stuck everywhere and it kept snagging on the wire/brackets and that hurt...I even popped off a ligature doing that my first week. It's much easier now though (and much FASTER).
