It's been 6 months.... I'm so tired of dealing w this stuff... Goto PT twice a week for getting my mouth range back and still numb in the upper jaw.... Ugh!!

I'm at 6 months post op and I still don't have feeling in my upper jaw. I can't feel my gums but feel pressure. I feel my lips and face... If the oral surgeon does impact the nerve do you think they would actually admit it????

I'm just at 6 months post op.... I have been going to physical therapy twice a week since May.. The therapists all said I shouldn't have been in sooner but my surgeon didn't refer me anywhere, it took my Orthodontist to finally refer me.. I started at my opening of 13, I'm now at 27. I'm on day 32 and still have my splint, I get it out in 4 days... I still have pain here and there along w twitching pain. I sure hope I can have soft foods after that... How far can y'all open your mouths? I'm barely able to get 1 finger in so I'm hoping I can start exercising to get it opened fart...

Going outside to get some air and sun totally helped in my recovery. I would go sit in the back yard, it was nice.

I still have swelling inside my nose but I can breathe pretty good. Still haven't blown my nose and I know there is stuff way in there but I can breathe even w the swelling.

Tomorrow I will be 4 weeks PO. I haven't returned to 'normal' life yet. I go back to work in 2 weeks. I sure have appreciated the time off to heal.

Monday will be 4 weeks PO for me. I had ALOT of feeling 4 days later. I still have numbness now but I have more feeling than not. When I went in week 2 to have bands changed it was torture. My OS said I was the first patient he had that had this much feeling.... It's a good thing bad thing situation...

I guess I'm a whimp. I originally had 5 weeks set to be off and am now extending it by 1 week. I just got off pain meds 3.5 weeks... I will be going back after I get the splint off, that's why I extended it a week. I'm very glad for this much time off, not sure I would do a good Juan otherwise becau...
