Re: How can I get my braces off faster?

Wear your rubberbands correctly and brush as much as you can. Eat whatever but dont chew on bones. That's what I did and nothing happened in nearly an year.

How did you manage to eat gum? I tried and took me ages to get it off my braces D:

Re: Hello and OMG elastics are to be despised

I got my rubberbands today and my orthodontist told me to wear them always and only take them off when eating. My teeth are hurting like crazy (they always do when I go there change my wires and they are so thick right now). This only gave more pain and I can't do anything today let alone eat. My ch...

Re: Confess your orthodontic sins.

I'm making an update here because I need this to be recorded in case I mess up really bad. I ate everything that could potentially break my brackets on the last 7 months and I only broke one damn bracket...WHILE FLOSSING! I ate roasted chestnuts, hard candies, really hard biscuits, fries.. Well I gu...

Re: Is there anything you can do to speed your treatment up?

The only way you can help speeding the treatment is never missing the appointments, trying not to break any wire/rubberband/bracket and that's about it. Of course, you can always break something without even being your fault, but well luck goes a long way.

Re: Dry Mouth?

I didn't have dry mouth when I put my top braces, but I did when I got my bottom ones and it lasted for a good month or so. After that, It went back to normal.

Re: Anyone else with a huge front gap, overbite and overjet

I have a juge overbite and had a huge front gap. My front gap closed within the first month of braces to be honest (it was such a miracle). What bugs me right now Is the teeth are not even because one is more on the front than the other but I hope it will get better? My overbite is slowly going to a...

Re: How long did you use wax for?

Me and my wax didn't get along well... It turned out pointless as it would fall off easilly and I was still in pain. I healed much faster after I decided to not put wax on. Did it hurt? A lot. But it was worth it.

Update of 2 months and some delays occured.

Ok so today was my 2 month appointment. I received my second wire today (yay) and got a tooth watched over. I had a cavity on my bottom molar (which is not banded yet.) and I got treated before I got my top braces, but it didn't stop hurting so I asked if there's something wrong. My dentist told me ...

2 months into top braces and preparation for bottom.

Hii so I'll have my 2 month braces review on tuesday and I'm gonna put the bottom molar bands, too. I'm a bit mad because I had a cavitie on one of the molars (bottom) and i don't know weither it was correctly treated, as I feel pain on that molar and I'm so upset about it so I must talk to my ortho...

Re: Getting Braces in College Update

Thanks for the pep talk, Len! I'm not a coffee drinker, so I don't have that worry. I'm surprisingly calm tonight, trying to keep my mind off my appointment tomorrow. The good thing is I already know our orthodontist very well, after treating three of my kids he's like family. I hope it all went ok...

Re: When did you notice change?

I've seen changes ever since I put them on to be honest. My two upper incisives were really appart and the first day with braces the closed their gap. I got my braces a month ago and I've seen a lot of changes happening actually, one of my teeth is getting even more crooked but the tooth by it's sid...

Anyone else here is completelly paranoid with cavities?

Since I got my braces a month ago I keep on obcessing over cavities. I only had 2 cavities in my life which weren't even that bad, but for some reason I'm obcessing over cavities. Every pain I have in my teeth is a "cavity sign" for me right now, even though I know it's just the pain from ...

Re: Getting spacers next week super scared...

Girl I'm not gonna say it's the best thing ever because it's not. Spacers were the worse I've had with braces, after the spacers went off, nothing else hurt me that bad. To be honest not many people suffer as much as I did with the spacers but if you do, all you need to keep in mind is: 1- Don't act...
