Re: Back in Braces/Powerchain Pain
Thanks! I think you're right, each time seems to be more painful than the next. The pain is finally easing a bit and I'm looking on the bright side-the inability to really eat is only helping my diet:)

Back in Braces/Powerchain Pain
After having my braces off for four years, I am back in them again :( there are several reasons why, mainly because the spaces left by my extractions were still too big for an implant and with the recent advent of using TADs, we are going to give that a shot instead of messing with an implant at all...

Is my mouth gettings smaller or am I just going crazy?!?!?!?
Okay so I have been in my braces for 17 months now, and I am noticing something, that I am trying to figure out if it is just in my mind. It seems like my mouth has gotten smaller. It is as if the more my teeth move to close spaces (I had 5 extractions-2 on the bottom 3 on the top) the smaller my mo...

So we are normal after all. I met with my ortho yesterday and found out that the pain is normal-it usually happens to adults and women in particular. Something about men already grinding their teeth makes them less likely to have this pain. Anyway, he also said that the pain is probably from the too...

I have tried to talk to my ortho about it and he hasn't been too receptive-hence why I demanded an appointment with him to discuss this concern amongst other concerns I have with the lack of communication or responsibility. Last time I tried to talk about this with him-he was out of the office and d...

Is this pain normal
Hi Everyone, I have been reading the boards and I noticed a lot of people have pain right after they get braced or after and adjustment. I had that pain, but I am also having intermittent pain every couple of days. It feels as though I have been hit in the mouth with a baseball bat and all my bottom...

Ortho Questions
Hi Everyone, If anyone has taken a look at my post from the other day- my ortho is a jerk (to be nice). I finally got his office to schedule me for a few minutes on Wednesday to get my questions answered and my concerns addressed. Mind you, getting this time was quite difficult- so I want to make th...

Ortho is no Help!
Hi Docs and anyone else able to help, My ortho is no help at all. Everytime there is an issue the office acts like I am bothering someone. I went for a week with my gum stuck between my teeth because the braces had caused the tooth to move and catch the gum. After I finally put my foot down that the...

Thanks
Hi Everyone, Thanks for your replies. I have been using sonicare for the entire week, I find my teeth are a lot cleaner and it disturbs the food that might be stuck on the brackets, so that even comes off easier than with me brushing myself. We will see when I go back in in a few weeks if he notices...

Electric Toothbrushes- Yay or Na???
Hi I am a newbie to braces (I got them on on Tuesday) and am trying to adjust to them. One of the things my orthodontist told me was that he doesn't suggest that we use electric toothbrushes with braces- something about they knock the brackets loose. Well the weekend previous at the suggestion of my...
