I cannot bite my nails any more, no matter how hard I try. I am 30 and have been a nail biter since about 5. My braces have been on for a month and I think going cold Turkey where nail biting is concerned has been the hardest part of the process. I am super happy to be rid of the habit though.

I'm new too! Flossing has always been a challenge for me, small mouth and severe crowdin. my braces went on a month ago (nearly) and flossing is the worst! I just shred everything...or cut off circulation in my fingers. I think I am going to have to invest in a water pik after reading all these comments.

Probably not helpful but I am 2 weeks post extraction (2 top bicuspids) and every so often I get a super gross taste in my mouth. Dentist and Dr said my sites look good and as long as there is no fever or swollen glands it's pretty normal. I hope it resolves on its own. Good luck!!
