looking great! im almost at 11 months, had the same extractions as you.. my right side is pretty much closed, but my left is taking its time! would love to see a pic update!

Oh and I forgot to add he did put me in rubber bands the same day I got the braces put on! To help close the gaps faster I would imagine. He said next appt I get powerchains.. woohoo!

dont be down about your braces! lots of people have gone thru this process twice (like me!) im now 28 and actually excited to be fixing my teeth (AGAIN!) most of the self conscious thoughts are all in your head! nobody is judging you- at least you are doing something to better yourself, and you will...

My problem right now (being new to braces) is falling asleep.. it seems like it takes me 3x as long as normal.. and also i sleep on my stomach and lay on 1 side of my face.. which pushes the braces into my cheek (my cheeks are hating life right now ugh)

I'm fairly new to braces to I have just about every symptom imaginable right now! sores, aching teeth, sensitivity, awkward talking and lip movement.. and to top it off my ortho put me in rubber bands day 1 so I feel like my jaw is being clenched shut.. all worth it in the end, right?

24 months (seems to be the usual!) but fingers crossed it will be less.. (if it goes to the exact 24, I will be getting them off the day before my 30th bday- happy birthday to me!)

dont be nervous, be excited! it'll go by quickly and at the end you will be so happy you did it! I just for ceramic on top and metal on bottom a few days ago and nobody looks at me any different (if they even notice them at all) good luck!

The first time I was 11, didn't wear my retainer.. fast forward to 28 and im back in them :)
